Before you submit, please use the search box on upper right of the Archives Gig homepage to see if the opening is already posted.
Please use the form below to submit a job to Archives Gig. Please do not email a PDF or document attachment of the job description; use the form below. Files usually cause weird formatting errors that take a lot of time to fix.
Submissions from this form go straight to my email inbox, and I generally post positions that are sent to me within one business day. The contact name and email fields on this form are not published in the posting – they are there in case I need to contact you with any questions about the posting you submitted. I do publicly thank submitters by their first name, but you can request that I not thank you – please just put “Do Not Name” in the Contact name field.
In the interest of avoiding redundancy, I will not post the same position more than once unless the search has been extended or if there have been significant changes to the original posting. If that is the case with an opening you send me, please let me know when you submit the job. Please note that I do not post volunteer opportunities, but I will post unpaid internships.
I do accept job postings from other countries. I only read English and German, so if the posting’s not in one of those languages I largely will miss them (thus the small number of “international” jobs listed here)! Since this blog’s target audience is American archivists, I focus on posting job announcements in English.
