Administrative Section Supervisor (State Records Center)

Salary: $38,770.08 – $51,361.20 yearly at 37.5 hour work week
• Plans, organizes and supervises staff and daily operations of the State Records Center Section. • Manages, coordinates and ensures the physical maintenance of the State Records Center to assure economical and efficient operations. Tracks storage space needs and recommends purchase of shelving as necessary. • Assists statewide agency Records Officers and Circuit Court Clerks regarding records management policies and procedures. Ensures the appropriate records retention schedules are followed. • Reviews Destruction Certificates and coordinates records destruction with the Division of Waste Management. Details records control activity in narrative and statistical monthly reports. • Ensures proper and timely billing and credits for records storage fees and destruction. Prepares quarterly invoices. Maintains billing ledgers. Coordinates billing with agency fiscal operations staff.
Qualifications / Experience:
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree. Additional administrative or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. EXPERIENCE: Must have four years of professional administrative experience. A master’s degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Upon appointment, employees in this class may be required to maintain a valid driver’s license and required to drive a licensed vehicle. This status may be necessary for the length of time in this class. If this is necessary it will be listed in the specific position description for that position.
