We are seeking a Research and Writing Intern, as well as an Archival Processing Intern. Research and Writing
Works with Social Media Coordinator on content-focused social media projects, including research, historical writing, digitization, and metadata entry. Intern will assist in furthering the current social media strategy, which is focused on observing World War I, commemorating historical anniversaries, and highlighting other records from the holdings at the National Archives at Philadelphia. Ideal candidates will have a background in archives, history, and/or writing, be self-motivated and deadline-oriented, and have a demonstrated interest in history, writing, social media, and connecting with audiences and the public.
Assists staff in the preservation and description of historical 19th and 20th-century federal records. Suitable only for those with capabilities for hands-on work with historic records. Project specific training and orientation will be provided, but ideal candidates will have a background in archival science and strict attention to detail. May require work with electronic databases.
